how to put a dvd onto a mp4 player?

  Which point are you having the problem?
  Is the mp4 player picking up the file/ showing on player?
  Is it recognized file format?
  Have you got any files already on the player?
  Is there enough capacity?
  Are there folders already created to drop the V file into?
  Is it a simple drag and drop or is software needed to mount?
  
  Answer the above and you should get the answer by members, also list what file formats it supports

  to be honest i dont have a clue what im doing i googled it and followed the instructions , but the 2nd part is for ipods , this is just a cheap non brand mp4 player she has , ive used a dvd decrypter and have the file on the hard drive but dont know what to do now , ive not put anything on it before and there is just a trailer for a film on it and a couple of sample music tracks , when i connect to the laptop via the usb it said drivers were installed but i think i need a program to view files on it ect as nothing else pops up

  Did it come with software on a dvd? Are you able to view the files already on the player? You maybe able to see file format on info when actually using the player.
  Try simple drag n drop to same folder as sample

  there are many different mp4 formats.
  it will depend on what play it is, let us know the name/model of the player and i'm sure we'll be able to help
