can u please tell me who is the administrative authority of them surgeries?

this surgery is located in Barking named Abbey Medical Surgery..

Senior partner but expect for them to try and force you to another surgery the second you complain

They probably could not understand him or maybe they removed his brain during surgery when all they ahould have done is given him laser eye surgery.....:whistling:

Just to say - if any one does have a complaint to a surgery dental / GP - they should approach the practice itself first , probaly the practice manager and give a time limit on when they should respond eg 5 - 7 working days .
Then if you arn't happy with the responce you should then approach the PCT ( JUST TYPE IN THE BOUROUGH YOU ARE IN WITH PCT on it in google ) and the individual website will direct you .
If you are not happy with that then it goes to the health care commision -
Humadoon - I'm, not sure if it is the case , but I'm not sure if you have approached the surgery - by letter or in person and see / discuss your issue , as I'm sure on their part they want to sort out whatever your issue is , if not just to help a disgruntled paitent .
I understand you have had wisdom teeth taken out ( your second bout) and this can be painfull diffucult or have complications -
I hope you find a solution soon

Its part of the job description in a surgery to p* off the patients and go out your way to be awkward don't you know that? Think there's one in every surgery up and down the land :) but if you have an issue I'd say put it in writing to the senior partner of the surgery.

Every PCT has a PALS service which assits those who need help putting together a complaint. In your area it is here.....

For lots of people, they don't have the confidence to write a letter, especially to their GP / manager. Can seem very intimidating.

The PALS service does this for you and liases with the GP / manager until things are resolved (if possible).

I know many here don't suffer lack of confidence when putting pen to paper but also need to understand that when you or a relative are not well, you may not have the energy to do it. That is where PALS will help you

Not correct. PALS will contact the surgery before you have spoken to the practice manager.

Up until August I worked for NHS Barking and Dagenham. Even if you write to PALS, if it's a complaint it'll get passed to the Complaints Team, answered by the Primary Care Contracting team, but checked by the Trust Chief Executive before it leaves the organisation.

In any case, I'd speak with the Practice Manager first, just to gauge how they're likely to deal with it, but you may like to copy the PCT in too, just to stir up a bit of action :)

...my ex-colleagues would kill me for saying that!!!

If it's anonymous, it won't be taken seriously, and is very hard to investigate or take action.

...thinking about it, you could just register with another Practice...

I don't mean literally - I mean that you don't show face when you write a letter, and are therefore gaining a higher level of anonymity than showing up at a meeting to complain. You should still sign the letter and provide details for reply, obviously.
