How can I forward some of my gift balance at Amazon?

I was given a gift certificate but I want to forward some of that amount to someone else. however, when I fill out the form it just gives the option of using a card to pay for it? I can't select an amount from my gift balance.

If that's not possible then can the person who sent me the gift certificate claim it back so it's no longer in my account and they get their money back?

Can you not buy a new e-gift card or something with the balance ?

I was trying to find this out as well today

I went to fill out the form to send an email gift certificate but on payment page it only had the option to select a bank card and not my gift balance.

Ahh right, not sure then.

Is there a way to claim back a gift certificate sent? I'd rather the person get that, than have money in my account which I won't spend much of.

You can't buy a GC with GC funds.

Once redeemed you can't get the money back for it, so you have to spend the balance on store items.

I'd suggest either buying something that's a good price and sell it on to get the money,
Or purchase items on behalf of friends/family and have it delivered to their address, and have them give you the money, maybe at a small discount!
