im in same boat (kind of). Didn't go to Uni, so working part time @ tesco

Im also working part time for myself trying to improve my skills and applying for any job that comes up

Best thing to do is find something that you would like to do as a job, then tell yourself you can do it. Apply for jobs, get a cv written.

psychoanalytical babble says motivation can be either internal or external and has a great deal to do with how successfully attached you are in your primary relationships...

In real terms.. what motivates you to succeed? What is important to you?

management in tesco's is liking drawing blood from a stone, they are all thick head tits :w00t:

I been offered the management training numerous times and won't even dare think about doing it

A manager is normally on about £22k for department manager, and goes up, the higher you go

I need a bomb under my backside, I'm currently working for a company who I can't stand, meant to be working towards two college courses and I just can't seem to get myself motivated, 1 to look for another job and 2 to start work on my college courses

You're nothing but a loser, I'm sure you parents are really proud of you! They probably have to make something up when their friends/relatives ask what you're doing with yourself...
#12
what motivates you?

money?
women(men)?
fitness/sports?

whatever you're into do something that inolves it, play a sport, get a different job, start a business (even sell **** on ebay) or get a new girl/boy?

well considering i left school at 17, got through 2 years at college and attained a HND in Quantity Surveying, whilst doing 22 hours a week at tesco and buying myself a new car, i dont think im a loser

so money.. materialism

so reward yourself with financially appealing or desirable things when you succeed at doing something.

I.e if i send off 50 job apps this week I'll treat myself to a new..........

Having said that though.. ensure your goals are attainable.. dont set yourself up for a disappointment xxx

And good luck hun :) xx

Work out. Exercise releases endorphins which makes you feel happy which in turn gives you motivation.

What are your goals/dreams/ambitions?

Do you have a 3/5/10/yr plan? that's what worked for me, ending up tripling my salary in just shy of 4 years.

First thing I would say is dont feel like you cant achieve what u want. U are still very young(not meant to be patronising) and you have lots and lots of opportunities available to you
Its worth keeping ur job for the time being and use this to motivate urself that u want something better, thats if u dont enjoy it or its not enough money for u.

Do u want to work to be rich or work in a job u enjoy doing, cos trust me their 2 different things. Some ppl work in jobs they hate but they get paid lots so they can retire early whereas some ppl enjoy doing a job that offers low/medium pay but love going into work every day.

Decide what u want to do and use the things u hate at the moment to motivate urself in what u want to achieve. If this means getting qualifications and certificates that take a few years then dont be put off. If the jobs u go for take experience u dont have then volunteer to build up the experience.

Whatever happens good luck :)
