He's not having it sent here, he's collecting it from his friend when he goes over there.

you can't send paypal gift cross borders

might be cheaper using western union or moneygram than paying the fees

I've sent money to my American friend many times and it's cost for PPG which is correct, but I think I only paid 5cent...

It was 100% PPG.

It doesn't! you pay your tax for the state then a brokerage fee + relevant taxes.

Yeah, 32GB wifi or 16GB 3G on AT&T then I'll unlock it via jailbreak or something..
New York state tax is only 8.75%ish so..

We do it all the time have friends in USA we use Royal Mail International Payments
http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1?catId=86500737&mediaId=92800751

No cost to send payment to their bank account, and the rate is usually only a few pence less than the rate of exchange on the day.

It tells you how much you getting for your money and you press when happy with the amount like when buying and selling shares.

Any questions let me know we use it all the time.

If you buying an Ipad 2 (which I have) make sure you buy it from a different state to the one you are sending it to therefore you dont have to pay the state tax!, shipping is free also! yey

Looks like Nevada sales tax varies between 6.85% and 8.1% depending on county

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sales_taxes_in_the_United_States#Nevada

Including 20% VAT if stopped by customs (can't remember if there's a duty on electronics to pay on top of VAT) you'll be shelling out between £564 and £569.
