Thats called fraud!!!! nice jail term coming up when caught!!!!
#2
Maybe he changed his name legally, and has not changed his passport yet or vice versa?
#3
Has he run off with your life savings?
#4
It's completely legal. As long as it's not used for fraudulent purposes, who cares?

No it's not "fraud", but the father could get it changed, as it's incorrect by the sounds of it.

Maybe not. My brother has a different name on his passport than his birth certificate.

i never said they can't have a different name, i said a birth certificate has to be sent in, on said birth certificate is childs full name, if the passport office sanction it then it cant be fraud, unless of course they sent someone else in

if the mother has full parental control the child can be known as whatever, again as long as it isnt for fraudulent use

There is no such thing as "full parental control".
A mother cannot change the name of their child unilaterally if the father is known.

the Birth certificate sent in had childs full name on it, and the passport has a different name on it, you work it out, do you mean the father "could" or "can"

I know quite a few people who are known by a different name but they've never officially changed their original name. Confusingly both my parents use their middle names which makes it tricky when it comes to security questions where it asks for your parent's first name as I can't remember if I put in the name they use or their first name when I set it up..

when i got my passport as ive had my surname changed legally, i sent off my birth cert. and a copy from the solicitors of my name change.

However i am now thinking of changing my surname again, and its as easy as just calling yourself it, then all you need to do is get a professional who has known you (i believe) for 2years to say that they have known you as both names and for most things it is fine!

There is such a thing as 'full parental control' even when the father is known and on the birth certificate.

My son is 9 ...10 in june and the law for shared parental control when fathers are named on the birth certificate did not apply at the time of his birth. I changed his name by deedpoll to my surname when my son was 4 months old (i escaped a abusive relationship) and he could do nothing about it ......he has changed im glad to say and last year in court i granted him half parental rights. I just wanted to set the record straight.
