How to copy a game save from a usb to ps3?

so ive copied to files to the root of my usb and when inserting into the ps3 i go to save data and it says there isnt any saved data.

What am i doing wrong?

Click on saved game data, if you go up your USB device should be there, open that and press triangle on the file you wish to move off the harddrive. Then click copy. Voilà!

You have to make folders for your ps3 to read it. PS3/SAVEDATA then insert the game save in there

Ive done it before but that was a over a year a go before i sold my ps3.

The PS3>GAMESAVE folder suggestion. I forgot about doing this.

Surely the files you saved should still be in the same folder format?
Unless of course these are downloaded hacked saved files ;)
