How do I check my rep ?

Had this problem several months ago.

Couldn't find anywhere on the site faq pages etc. that provided a link for checking your own rep, and had to ask on here.

Someone gave me the link, but I didn't make a note of it and haven't looked at my rep since then (I assumed the feedback system was replacing it but I guess that's not the case).

Anyone got the link, and could you let me know which part of the site you got it from, thanks.

Thanks for that :)

Couple more questions :

Clicking on User CP brings up my rep. How would I check someone elses ?

What's this rep chart ?

Are you supposed to leave rep or feedback for someone you've traded with ?
I thought it was feedback though someone's left me rep yesterday for a recent trade.

Cheers !

Here's the rep chart..

Your rep is private, and you can't read other peoples... the green bars under your user name light up as you gain more rep.

You can leave rep for a succesful trade, if someone helps you or if you think their post is worthy of receiving rep points... it's completely up to you :)

There's more details on rep in the newcomers guide here

The rep chart is a HUKD initiation procedure, I only remember that stage four was standing on your head for 6 minutes eating jelly and stage twelve was getting someone to take a picture of you doing a crane kick on a beach like Daniel-san.

Ah right, thanks for that, didn't rep was private.

In that case, when you've traded with someone, I presume the important thing to leave is feedback (though you can leave rep as well if you like) since other people can look at it.

The guy who left me rep yesterday has put "Great seller A+++" , which is very nice of course, but seems pointless if no-one else can read it.

I wonder how many other people use rep for commenting on deals rather than leaving feedback ?
Is there a faq anywhere on here anywhere explaining the differences between rep & feedback, and explaining when best to leave either one ?

It's all the same thing hun. If you click the scales symbol underneath someone's name, it gives you the option to give rep.

You can leave a comment and your name for the other person to read, and the more rep they receive, the more lights light up...

People with higher rep have lots of green lights...

You don't have to leave a comment by the way, but I always do and put my name as it's nicer to know who's been leaving rep

i think he means feedback for transaction in the for sale forum?, others can read this so they can weigh up whether to trade with the person in question :)

you can do both if you want :)

Yep, that's what I meant.

Before the feedback system was implemented here, we only had rep, and people used to leave it for each other after a satisfactory trade.

Now that we have feedback as well, it's obviously much better to leave feedback in these circumstances so that other people can read it too when they're deciding whether to buy from someone.

I just imagine that a lot of people still only leave rep after a trade, and it might be an idea to have a faq explaining the difference between the two, and when best to leave either one.
