How do I connect my laptop to my lcd TV?

I want to connect my laptop to my new lcd tv to watch things on the tv. My laptop doesn't have an hdmi socket. What cables would I need to connect my laptop to tv for both picture and sound to show?

This is my laptop:

This is my tv:

Thanks

Easiest way without HDMI...

Use a VGA cable (to carry picture) and a 3.5mm audio cable for sound.

Those cables can be got for under £5 on ebay in total.

ok thanks. Is it a VGA male to female I need? It looks like the socket in the laptop is female and so is the one in tv? So I'd need male to male vga cable? :/

I have never seen laptop with DVI. .

Really? And you're on here dishing out advice?. Try the Dell XPS M1730 for a start, several asus laptops or a lot of macs?
Having the dell myself I just assumed they were commonplace. But I guess that's stupid of me...
