How do I find a WPA key?

I am trying to set up my son's PSP so he can go online.

We have got through most of the stages, located the routed etc but the PSP is asking for the WPA key and I have no idea where to find it or what it is - it was put in automatically when I configured the router yesterday. I have googled for ages but still none the wiser

Please bear in mind I am not technically minded so be gentle with me

Is it on the router?

What router do you have. Not sure if this makes any difference, but may be of help to someone trying to guide you.

if its a netgear router, using your computer in your internet address bar type 192.168.0.1

password: password

when logged in look on the left menu and click wireless settings.

How was it put in automatically? I thought you had to choose your own password or use the one that comes with it, like sassie put its sometimes on the router's box

WPA is under the box of most models I believe, it may just say wireless key, but it's there.
