I must have lost over £300 in the last 4 days which is ridiculous. Any ideas as to quitting?

Cancel your credit cards so that you can't add any more money to your online betting accounts via your card so max you can lose is what is in your account.

Blow it on a party for 150 people you don't know.

Gambling is a mugs game played by mugs.

I will not even buy a lottery ticket.

Remember, the punter never holds the ace card.

Thanks, but a 4 way accumulator has decent odds holding Chelsea, Utd, Newcastle and Leicester.

You are never going to give up gambling with that attitude.

You cannot win in the long term, that is why the Bookie is always rich and the mug punter isn't.

Just close all of your accounts if you seriously want to give up, otherwise you are doomed to a life of misery.

Football mainly, but horse racing, tennis and basketball are the main four.

Cancel your Stan James and William Hill accounts then. And cancel your credit cards attached to the betting accounts to confirm you can't spend more.
If you think you have a serious problem, and it sounds like you might have, contact Gamblers Anonymous.
You have to really want to stop, not just think you want to stop 'cos you can't afford it.

My parents sorted me out when I blew my £500 credit card, but made me snap it up. Little did they know that I still had it on my stanjames account, and have again maxed it out to £500 with no aim. I have sent them £1000 of my student loan in order to get £100 a week, but how do I pay off the £500 debt?

Well, stop spending money on gambling. Reduce your spending in general. Get a job, friends of mine at uni managed to hold down a job at uni - bar work, carphone warehouse, dishing out food in the catered halls - ok, not fabby jobs but if you need the money then swallow your pride and get on with it and slowly pay off the debt.
Also, if you have a chunk of student loan sitting in your account, either use it to pay off your debts or if you need it to live off then transfer it to a seperate savings account which has a direct debit to your current account so you get a set amount of it every month - then it won't be so accessable in your current account and so tempting to spend it.
