I have a bug about 3mm big on my screen. Its dead, try moving your screen so like its at an angle, n shake it VERY CAREFULLY.

I'll try the same with my monitor but it don't bother me much.

Never heard of that happening before!, Hilarious!!

I'm not sure if the magnets would wreck the pixels of not, I remember stick magnets around a CRT monitor, It did damage the pixels!

Good point. I won't go near it with a magnet then!

Wish I would have left him alone now!

lcd's not affected by magnets........only if you throw them at it (:

Is it possible to take the front of the screen off or is this just asking for trouble?

I'm sure you could, But it'd be more hassle than its worth and you'd probably cause more damage then good!

If LCD's aren't affected by magnets i'd try that.

u could try the hairdryer trick and dry the thing out and hope it drops to the bottom of the screen.................

Just wait until it shrivels up to next to nothing. Believe me I'm a woman, you may not notice it by then.:giggle:

Well folks, I have tried tapping the screen and that didn't work. I tried the magnet thing, and that didn't work either...any other ideas? I will email Acer as wel and see what they say.

Should have paid the extra and gone for the bug resistant screen...:giggle:

Do you squash it good and proper or just a little tap?

Chances are It won't come out then!, I was thinking that maybe once it dried up a bit, It might loosen.

Not sure Acer's support line covers "accidental bug in lcd screen squashing" either! :giggle:

Where in reference to the screen is it?, Sods law says the middle.........
#22
Top left hand corner?, No the worst place I suppose!

(And yeah, Good diagram!)

Luckily it is aboout 4cm from the top of the screen and 7cm in from the right.
