By his standards that was being helpful!!!!

So when you plug it in, is it seen by the PC? (I assume you have charged the battery?)

How much? You get it from Argos as many people stating they did!

Maybe a lot of coke was bought........or maybe she collected coke points.

This is usually such a friendly forum - I am very disappointed at the lack of helpful replies.

leave it charging overnight, disconnect it and see if u can use it.

then connect it back to your pc and see if itunes picks it up.

know it sounds simple, but give it a go :-)

The correct nasty answer is....

"Take it back and tell them your too stupid to own one" :-D

By the way I didn't mean that.

Plug it into you computer load up iTunes, and hold down the button with the little square on it for a couple of seconds.

If that doesn't work take it back its a duff one

the correct answer is that its stuck in restore mode.
you need to fire up itunes which should pick it up as an ipod in trouble and ask you to restore it. click restore and follow the prompts, if you're lucky it will work but as different versions of itunes will only restore certain types of ipods you might have problems
