How do I tell if my cat is pregnant?? Help

I have a 10month old cat....i'm wondering if she may be pregnant as she is wanting food a lot more and she is rubbing on me more than normal, also her nipples are sticking out more than normal. If so how long is gestation? I go on holiday in 5 weeks time and i'm a bit confused as to what I should do.

Nipples go pink and stick out, if she hasn't been neutered, she is probably pregnant! Gestation is 9 weeks (ish)

Ring up your vet if you cant get there and ask them or go for good old google :)

Ask cheerleader, she's an expert on animal pregnancies :whistling:

my cats nipples showed thru early on and she pulled out all the fur surrounding them in readiness for her babies

eating a lot could be she has worms? have you wormed her recently?

YummyMummy going on holiday and been trying arrange a cattery for her cat to go in,would anyone know if they would deal with the cat and if she was pregnant and also happened to have them while there but she be ok etc.
She can't find anyone who take her as of yet, like family friends,so cattery only option so far.

Vets can't tell how far along a cat is in my experience, so the £30 consultation fee is a bit of a waste! 7 weeks from when you first notice a difference in the nipples in a first pregnancy.

cos it gets fat?

Awww thats sick....u get some heartless ******* out there. One of them fed my cat anti-freeze and she made her way home, she was very weak and we took her to the vet, he confirmed she had been poisoned and put her on a drip but it just wasnt enough...she passed away a few hours later

It turns out my cat is actually in heat now so she is not pregnant as yet. Her behaviour over the last week or so must have been the build up to her coming into season.
I wanted to let her have one litter of kittens before getting her nuetered but I dont know if i can put up with her behaviour for much recently, she is the talk of my street lol as she doesnt go and hide to do her business. I have about 5 tom cats at my door too when i finally manage to get her in. :?
