I don't think it means it needs updating, have you tried putting the origional SD card back in with turbodog on to see if that picks up a signal?

How long have you left it - mine can take upto 5mins to pick up a signal sometimes.

hi,

you may need to reconfigure the gps again, what version of tt are you using on the unit and what maps have you got currently installed on it?

the card i have in is the original, i just put the tt on it off here. I think the tt version is V2.0.0.9.30 if that sounds right, lol. I looked where it says system info.

I have had it switdhed on for about 20 mins and its not pickin up signal

like gkay said have you tried resetting your gps settings?

7. To get it to connect you will have to change the GPS signal, this is done by touching change preferences touch blue arrow until you get to page 6 of 6 then touch show GPS signal then configure then use black arrows until you get other NMEA GPS reciever then select change the baud rate to 38400 then done. Now select com7(v2) or com1(v1) then done . You may need to go outside to get GPS signal.

V2!

I thought the latest TT software was V7!

Does tt7 have lane navigation and 3d landmarks as otherwise I'll stick with the new improved turbodog6? :?

V2 is refering to the hardware version of the navigo - v3 uses the same settings.

I think v8 is the latest tomtom?

V7 defo doesn't have the lane navigation - at least the v7 on my navigo doesn't anyway or 3d landmarks.

Turbodog 6 seemed to make some rather mental routing decisions which is why I swapped to tt7

edit - oh I see what you mean now - I thought you were talking about the v2 in my instructions for checking the baud rate.

There is a download section with everything you need & the instructions on it. Only thing I'd add is to always use a seperate SD card then if it all goes wrong you can just put the working one back in - they are only about £3 to buy :)
