Hi,

Just thinking after having to watch the 1st semi final last night, it was so obvious which 3 people out of that lot would be up for going through and you can bank on that being the case for the rest of the week so is it fixed in a way that the best acts are not all in the same semi final??

What they should do is do a lotto/fa cup type draw on the tv with all 40 acts and put them into the semi finals that way making it 100% fair.

while they do seem to be divided up to have a variety of different acts in each show obviously they wont be putting the favourites against each other.

remember.cowell really needs a singer/musician to win because thats where the big money is so he will want susan boyle or the welsh guy or the chap with the saxaphone. what can he do with a dance act? maybe a dvd like george sampson did and then end of story.

Only 2 people go through from each semi final - so if there are three obvious people, it's obvious that Simon Cowell is going to make a 10 year old girl cry.

As for winning - neither Susan Boyle nor Natalie Okri need to win for Simon to make oodles of money from them.

yeah bit of an idiotic system - should all be pooled and voted at the same time else people get voted off by virtue of the day of performance..but i guess there may be voting revenue lost that way.

does anyone know how many people got yes's in the first round?

i.e. how many they had to whittle down to get the 40 for this week?
