My friend is selling her iphone 3g however it is second hand to her , I am wanting to change this onto Tmobile - how would i do this please? Somebody has told me that I need the original 02 number that the iphone came with - is that correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am wanting to buy this as a present for my daughter.
thanks in advance.

just put o2 sim in it and make sure u use the sim in the phone because o2 will check to see if it has been used on their system. then request for the unlatching from o2 and make sure there is £15 in the sim for payment for the code. u will then recieve a msg from apple to connect the phone to itunes to complete the unlock

My daughter wanted her phone which was on Tesco (non-contract) changed over to Orange. I managed to do this for her by buying an unlock code for that phone from a seller on eBay for 99p. I was a bit dubious at first as I never expected it to work, however, I decided to go ahead and purchase a code after reading the seller's feedback which was 100% positive. Absolutely brilliant when it worked first time - perhaps you could have a look on eBay first to see if any seller has a code that will unlock the phone (I was sent the instructions telling me how to do it).
