upload from computer to www.photobucket.com, then click edit and resize to message board size, then copy the image url (bottom link) and paste it into the little yellow icon you will see in the reply box on here, its along the top of where you type when replying to a post

Try using http://www.tinypic.com. There's no need to sign uo but you do need to complete a captcha to upload an image (very simple). Once your image is uploaded, to the left of your image you will see a few links in yellowish boxes. one will have 'IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards' above it. Just copy and paste that link in to the comment box here and when posted your image should appear

I assumed you would be using a pc, sorry. Theres a way around it though. Once your image is uploaded, click 'view full size image' and once the new page has loaded long press the image and select 'open link' or whatever your equivalent is and it should open up a new page just showing the image. Copy the URL from this page which is in your address bar, that is the link to the image. Above the comment box on this site there are several square boxes. click the one that looks like a photo (to the right of the square with the image of a flame). paste your URL in the window that opens and press OK and the image URL should be in your comment box ready to post.

you was almost there. My instructions werent the best, sorry.

go back to your uploaded image (link provided ;) )

http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=ac3oqp&s=5#.UqeIg2YYZoMt

click the image and a small window will open. Click 'view raw image' and a new tab will open showing just your image. copy the URL in the address bar, and then do as I said earlier (click the photo, paste URL etc). Should work.
