I want to check the going rate for something on ebay. However when I hit search complete listings it only seems to take me to active listings - can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong please? Thanks

You have to be logged in - you can't searchthe completed listings if you are only a guest.
#4
log in, and do an advanced search - the completed items check box is just under where you add the item keywords box.

Wish they'd change it back to how it was........everything was a lot easier. Like opening the same search in a new tab but with buy it now only etc.

I hope the OP doesn't mind, but instead of starting another eBay thread, can I ask where the "Buy it now" tab has gone?

It's down the left hand side.........you have to click on Buying formats and then select Buy it Now. :)

how do you revert back to the old layout?

SEARCHING FOR COMPLETED ITEMS:

if you click on advanced search, then tick "Search completed items" which is a bit below the search box
