No. Hotels do know how to wash sheets etc.

okay - yes I know some will find this very strange................but I ALWAYS take a mattress protector when I am staying at hotels or abroad! Have done this for years - cheap as chips to buy them and take up tiny space in your bag! Drives my husband mad that we arrive at hotel and the bed is made up lovely - then I rip all the sheets off to put on the mattress protector eeeeeeeehhhh I just couldnt sleep otherwise

I know it sounds very OTT but I just couldnt NOT do this!!

oh and the beds abroad must be sooo much worse cause of the heat and all that body sweat dripping into mattress..........omg I feel sick!!!!!

How often do you clean the nozzle at the end of the pipe on your vacuum cleaner?

...do you wait inside public toilets for somebody else to open the door from outside before you can leave?

(George Michael’s legal team never thought of that in his “Bog Tropicana” defence)

Ah... I just thought you were an obsessive compulsive germaphobe (like I am).

That's OK then... it is just a good advertisement for your business :)

I don't have the fear over mattresses, but I do over pillows. I imagine all the dribble etc that has been soaked up by the pillow and then I feel sick, if I am staying in the UK I usually take my pillow with me and if travelling abroad I will put a towel over my pillow.

Worth having pillow protectors even at home, after a year a pillows weight will increase by 20% due to the amount of mites in it

Shopping Trolley or Fuel pump handles?

Posts or handles on trains or tubes for standing customers?

CD, DVD, or Video Game cases in high street stores (or pre-owned items in the "For Sale / For Trade" classifieds listing)?

I've had to live with it since as long as I can remember...

looool thats just nasty. Nothing wrong with the 5 second rule though, you've gotta be careful where it drops i.e carpet the food item could be all hairy etc YUMMMM :p but on tiled floor etc its normally fine to pick it up, give it a quick inspection and MUNCH hahah

Do you ever eat-out in restaurants?

Handle change whilst shopping?

Go swimming.

Buy used cars... or property somebody else has lived in?

In my handbag and car I have loads of those wee bottles of anti bacterial gel. I wear gloves a lot as well - was at funeral last week and wore my gloves due to the amount of people who would have used that hym book I would have to lift. I dont see any of this as a problem. I havent been off sick since 1999 and even then it was because I was on maternity leave!

Right off out with the dog

edit - Fanpages - my house is new, my car is new, I pay with my debit card and yes I eat out in restaurants. Avoid the local toilet i.e swimming pool. tara

edit again Fanpages - do you suffer from OCD? I can imagine its a horrible thing to suffer from - I dont! But you are giving me way too much to think about when I am already a freak when it comes to some things!! right dog now growling at me.....am away

...touch somebody else's keyboard or mouse?

Carry garments in shops by their coat-hanger?

Put your mobile handset down & then use it again against your face?

Book your car in for a service & hand over your keys to somebody who will exchange them back & forth with various unwashed individuals throughout the day before they are returned to you?

Clean you steering wheel & gearstick (if applicable) before you drive away?

I carry wet wipes, tissues, and gloves at all times!

I've lost count of the number of "odd looks" I get whilst I am travelling by tube in the middle of summer because I am wearing thick gloves.

Be careful with your pooper-scouping. The lid of the bin... that is always a challenge.

No. Hotels do know how to wash sheets etc.

But that doesnt stop the sweat and body fluids in the all essential middle patch of the bed where you just happen to park your **** for the night... the thought of sleeping on my front or back on of what i would be sleeping in.

How about those who work in retail food stores, or at the meat or delicatessen counters in supermarkets, that serve you at the counter (using the electronic till, handing your change to you, and so on) whilst still wearing the gloves they use whilst handling food?

The only person protected is the one serving you.

I have walked out of several shops in the past where this has happened. Some of them even had their Food Hygiene Certificates in clear view as well.

Yes, I do. I said as much above (but you may have missed it).

No point being OCD when you realise what happens in the food chain.

Worse things happen and they go INTO your body lol
