That's really funny.......I got asked for I.D.in 2 different Tesco stores in the last few weeks..........I'm 29!! Maybe they're stamping down on it or something:?
Mind u, made my day:-D

I am 33 and I got asked, I asked if she was having a laugh and that I was 33, if I was going to lie I wouldn't say 33 and she went bright red and served me! Now if I intend to buy alcohol I have my photo ID with me!

+1

people go to jail now for selling alchohol to people under age, so defintly going to be a clamp down

but its definetly a compliment

the dandy p
it's alcohol...

yes but in some stores such as our local asda i think u have to be 25 to buy alcohol and of course most places its just 18

and of course if they have to guess if someone is over 25 when actually they're 26 thats harder than if you're 26 and they're trying to judge if you're over 18....
#15
I was asked for id in asda a few months ago at age 29 - i just laughed it off and told them my age and i think she was too embarrased to ask again.

I also answered the door to a saleman the other day and he asked if my mum or dad were in lol
#16
I'm 26 I get asked all the time, I'm not embarrassed, I take it as a compliment, If I look under age now imagine how young I'll look when I'm 60...!!!

thats what gets me it is still 18 in asda but you have to look 25 and if you dont you have to provide id to prove you are 18 or over.

Asda do it to me.

I'm 24, shop in there regularly with my 3 kids but when I try to buy alcohol I get ID'd.
#24
I don't know why, but I had you down as a 35-40 year old greyparrot. Maybe because u have kids and a parrot! lol

But a 26 year-old who looks younger than her age? Lucky you. If I was 26 again, the things I could do... :-(

I remember being asked my birthdate by the bouncer on the door of one club when I was about 15 and panicing and trying to make myself 18 by adding up quickly... and instead told him I was about 3! lol

Lucky you, same thing happened to my partners brother a few weeks back, they not sell him beer at Tesco's.He was annoyed too cos was coming back by taxi which is about £5-6,wanted to get a fair bit of heavier stuff,I've told him shop online...He's 30 and got asked for I.D in there. No surprise really,my partner gets mistaken for being younger than he is,I'd never be mistaken however.

lol - and you panicked so much you couldn't spell either! Not like you CoM :p (I read it as prancing at first and was totally thrown by the image!)
#33
The new rule comes into force on st June but they are getting ready now so some stores have started it early. If you look under 25 you must provide id...........there is also a rule in supermarkets that they will not sell alchohol to adults accompanied by a teenager!!! There have been many cases in the papers lately.
I personally think this is not going to stop under age drinking or sort out the problems, if anything it will probably make things worse, look at prohibition.

I was most annoyed some years ago when turned away for not being able to porduce ID (I wwas nearly 18) as I had been going there for about three years!!

Oh I spell just fine but cant type for crap lol

I'll remember the images threw you off just so I know how to win if we ever argue! I'm not above resorting to a little sensualism to get my own thoughts across :giggle:

( and no you're not gonna get away with picking a fight just to see lol )
