How I got into the cinema £2.30 cheaper than it should have been

Today I went to see the new James Bond film at the cinema.

There was a long queue to buy tickets so my mates and I decided to buy tickets via the self service ticket option. My mate had his debit card on him so he put his debit card into the machine to buy us tickets.

When he entered his debit card he had the option to buy adult or under 15s tickets. As it was £2.30 cheaper we decided to buy under 15s tickets even though we are all over 15.

So that is my story on how I saved £2.30 by pretending to be under 15.

Am I cool or what?

Doubt that qualifies you as 'cool'

Loads of people do that, (say for example they have 2 kids just over the price threshold)when some families go to purchase their tickets the 2 kids will go off for a while, parents buy the tickets 2 adults + 2 childs tickets = a saving. No-one is really gonna pull them up on it.

Are they dishonest? yes

Do they care much? nope.

I can't get away with pretending to be 15. When I have tried to pretend to be under 15 at the ticket office they have always asked for ID as they think I look older.

So today I have figured out a way to beat the system and get into the cinema for £2.30 cheaper than usual.

#15
Well he is meant to but he was quite old an I don't think he really cared.

Do you do this as well, finish watching one film then go into another screen and watch another for free, BOGOF deal lol. TIP: go to the toilet in between films.
#17
No I have never done that however I have thought about doing it.

Not sure about jail but my local Odeon say you'll get banned if you're caught doing this and the police will be informed :? Fraud maybe?

Should they care much? Certainly not, as tickets are an absolute rip-off, not to mention food (assuming you are insane/starving enough to buy it). We should take what we can, as there is no official body that is looking out for us (e.g. campaigning for less rip-off prices for tickets and other such things). God, i'm surprised any family with more than one kid can even afford the cinema these days, would cost about £30 quid.

I am going to the cinema again in about 30 mins, should I use the same tactics as last time?
