Okay so I can hold my breath for 2 minutes before I start to feel giddy, I was wondering if it was possible to hold your breath long enough that you collapse. I'm strong willed so I know I can over ride my bodies auto response to breath. All I need is a volunteer to resuscitate me if the worst was to happen, any takers?

Depriving your brain of oxygen will kill brain cells. Just a few at a time, but it does add up. Brain cells don't grow back, so each time you reduce your intelligence. :)

My neice used to do this as a toddler. She used to hold her breath if she didn't do what you wanted her to do. My sister-in-law used to give way to her because she was scared she could hurt herself if she held her breath too long. They took her to the docs for advice and the doctor told them not to worry about it as even if she made herself pass out momentarily her body would automatically take over and breath properly.

Silly thing to do!

Brain Cells do Grow Back. Hence Y your brain grows when you grow.

Brain cells grow only until a certain age. after that certain age then brain cells can only be lost and not grown

Brain "cells" are more a concept than literal explanation. Holding your breath until you pass out will not cause you much harm. However, I don't think many people can hold their breath until they pass out, hence one reason people drown quite quickly.
