Depends on what the sellers dispatch time is and what kinda post they are using i would say, also maybe take into account where the item is coming from.

How quick was delivery promised in the auction?
What postage service was used? What is their timescale?

i dont think theres a hard rule really, but i would say 7 days is reasonable, unless of course it was stated as next day special delivery etc,
#4
Think it's 7 days till you can report a problem.
#5
Depends on payment. Paypal cheque takes ages but is still fine.
#6
once your payment is received they can have about 3 days (unless otherwise stated) also you have to allow for weekends/bank holidays etc....
drop them an email....
i paid for a tshirt on 22may got it saturday just gone!!! :-D
#7
Just a normal sale. No delivery time specified.
#8
Surely it stated what method of postage was going to be used ?

If not, then they/you has whatever the longest, slowest method available is before they/you can start complaining.
#9
I think ebay say 1 week and then try and contact seller and if not resolved after 2 weeks start a claim and try and get refund:thumbsup: Well thats what it was a few months back when i didnt recieve an item
#10
What delivery method?
If its courier i generally allow 3 days before i ask them whats happening.
For 1st class i generally allow a week

then i would contact the seller and ask what courier has been used and ask for tracking id, as you have not received it

yes, if there has been no contact put in a paypal dispute, and once opened do not close until item receieved, you can only open a dispute once for a trasaction
#18
So i can put in a dispute even though its only been 7 days(5 working)?

yes, i think they ask for you to give it time, but thought you could actually put in a dispute as early as day1, try it you will soon find out, when did you contact seller
#20
End of last week.
#21
Did you pay by cheque? did you post payment? was it PayPal?
banned#22
i would deffo start a dispute due to no contact, if seller is aware of your concerns they should reply, if there not aware, maybe on holiday or something but would still start a dispute and go from there

Yeah but I would say email once more direct to the email on the transaction page not through ebay then dispute, he may not of got the other message which looking it was sent not long after the sale.
Ebay messages are crap, they really are he may not be ignoring you!

hence why i said open a dispute, paypal will email them direct, a dispute just means contact between the buyer and seller via paypal

Yes but that will be a black mark against the seller, and is likely to get his back up, first of it's polite to email the seller direct, he may have not got the message, ebay send through messages months late or not at all half the time.:)

black mark? :?

a paypal dispute is to establish contact between buyer and seller, its what you put in the email that matters, the op only has to say he has tried to contact seller voa ebay and had no response, jeeze its no biggie and no black marks anywhere, it is an outmoated system, once esculated then thats when paypal step in

It does actually affect your seller satisfaction rating on your seller dashboard. Therefore is a "blackmark"

your talking about ebay? :?

there is no where on ebay or paypal you get marked for someone opening a dispute
