I have a Hp laptop and having problems with the charger just wondering if it could be the battery itself. Does anyone know where to reasonably priced battery if this is the problem. Thank you

the life span of a batt is about 1.5 to 3 years depending on how its treated

Bear in mind your laptop battery does not have unlimited charge/depletion cycles to it and if you heavily use it without power supply your battery has gone past it's cycle limit and is essentially useless now.

However it could just be a crap battery and/or your power settings are too high for non power supply usage.

DV6925ea is the model number it is probably the battery time for a new one. Its two years old but has been hammered.

Anyone know where to get a new one relatively cheaply.

I'd just buy one of the chinese ones off ebay.....
Got an eee battery from them ages ago for quite a good price and it worked fine.
Planning to get a battery for my knackered laptop's one in the near future too.....
Official manufacturers shops will be alot more expensive!

I've had a few thinkpads in the past - generally original battery tends to be far more reliable, and last longer - about a year later still retaining decent charge.

Those copied battery may initially work just fine, but they lose charge really quick. Got one for a T41 which went flat in 3 months. Depends on which is more important:

Higher original battery cost + lesser long run cost.

or

less reliability + greater long run cost.
