dual mass fly wheel, should last longer than that, check your warranty with the garage, there may be a 2 year warranty on this,as you know its not a cheap job, when we fit these we always use a decent make, purely for this reason.

strange... on my mondeo tdci that I use as a taxi it has been replaced twice in 172,000 miles. It cost me a damn fortune. Check and see if they replaced it with a converted flywheel instead of an original dual mass ford part. Shouldnt have gone that quick!

they're trying to tell us it was only1 year warranty, we only changed the clutch in 2009 when the gearbox went because workwas being done anyway and we were given a faulty clutch that had to be replaced in 3 days, we haven't had any problems with clutch sothat cant be affecting flywheel

Usually these go with the way people drive them, or driving them wrong (used to driving petrols), not accusing you of anything as it could be simply poor a mechanic or faulty parts to begin with, surely its got a mileage warranty?
