I have just picked up a second job.

I'll only be doing it over the festive season but it will definitely help out money wise...

Hi, I have two, but have done for the last 2 years. I am a university student, I work 3 days in London, 1 day at the weekend locally, and have 2 study days. Not really enough study days, but I really don't want to be in debt, so where possible, save my student loan and pay it back. This is obviously only possible by working.
So far this year, I have got away without even having to apply for any student support, fingers crossed I can keep it up!

I work for Esure 15 hours a week. River Island 16 hours and im at Uni 4 days a week.

My OH works full time and the credit crunch has just started to affect us, especially with his salary not increasing with inflation as it was promised.

But hopefully things will be better when I graduate! We'll see..

when I was at uni... doing my nursing (just finished in Sept) when on placement I would work 32 hours a week on placement - 12.5 in Tesco and about another 4 hours as a support worker for people with learning disabilities. Oh and bundles of course work and assignments and being a single mum too. But I didn't want to be in debt, and hey it's all finished now before my son starts school!

worth it completely.

When I start my nurse job in theatres on 17th Nov I will be working there 37.5 hours and am keeping on 7.5 hoursa week at Tesco for the extra cash. Wish I could just leave completely!

My friend is in the same boat as you were.
She done her placements, 4 x 12 hour night shifts a week, plus 20 hours a week in a call centre, plus having to do course work, pay her rent etc.

The things us students do eh!

I do Tescos on Saturdays and agency admin work Mon-Fri, good ol Tescos has been a lifesaver with lots of overtime when I'm in between agency work but sometimes I feel like I want my weekends back.

god yeah... been a long hard 3 years.!!! But now I'm about to start the job of my dreams and have achieved all this before my wee man starts school, despite his boys dad leaving us half way through my first year I'm damn proud of myself ;-). Nursings a hard course coz of the placements.... Final placement in 3rd year you have to work 37.5 hours too and finalise your coursework etc, and hold down whatever jobs and family life you have.

been few times I've thought I'd have to leave coz of lack of childcare etc... but I got there.
