about £600-700 for direct access

£99 for CBT
£15 for Mod 1 off road test
£75 for Mod 2 on road test

Don't know how much lessons as I've not had any, would depend on the school you went with, I would say under £50 for an hour though. Probably cheaper if you have your own bike.

If you've never been on the road before I would get lessons but I've been driving 10yrs.

The CBT is for anything upto 125cc you must have L plates on and the CBT lasts for 2 yrs.

Forgot you have to do the Theory test too before the Mod 1 think that was £15 too.

No, it is for bikes aswell upto 125cc, I know 3 people who did this, then after 12-18 months they were pretty experienced, had a few lessons to sharpen up and then did the full test.

This is probably the best way to go, keeps costs down and you soon make your mind up if it is really for you...

Learn to ride this way and if you stay with it you will have good experience to draw from, the coppers will tell you how many new older riders have problems because they are able to go straight to a sports bike before they have the road skills on it.. enjoy it!

CBT £125 - This allows you to ride up to 125cc for 2 years
To ride anything higher than a 125cc you will need to get;
Theory Test about £35 nowadays
Direct Access Course. This contains Module A and Module B.
Different places do different cost but its around £500+ and this covers bike hire, insurance and fuel etc

Hope this helps
