How much can be fit in a average car?

Serious question, im getting a taxi to move house as its 35 pounds to go 30 miles so im taking my 32 inch samsung hd tv and my 22 inch widescreen monitor plus 2 sets of 5.1 pc speakers 2 pc's as well as a ps2 360 and dvd recorder and not sure how much space I will have left. Just so I can pack as much as I can for courier and send so the car isnt overfull

I can get almost everything else into 1 massive box so was going to do it that way, or was thinking of waiting till night before and seeing what I can fit then arranging a courier for next day and leaving box at security office for collection

32 tv will take up a lot of room, depends how big cab is. Monitor etc not too big so that should fit but tv wil take up lot space

You need to check with the taxi company that they are happy with what you're intending to do i.e. stuff one of their cabs with your worldly possessions. They may have a cab that's larger than the others & can reserve that one for you.

make sure the taxi knows how much you will have as im not sure they wont charge extra for that!!

cant you hire a van and man for an hour or so and get him to take you and your stuff

I asked at time of booking and they asked me if a regular car would be enough and I said yes as I was worried it would cost more for a bigger car and told them it was for a house moving and I was taking a big tv and a computer and other things and they were fine

man with van is ok but they're generally unreliable --> points to the van man who disappeared and we were forced to get professionals to move 1 mile down the road.
