OMG how many people do you feed. I probably spend about £100 but thats for more than xmas day. I buy morrisons saver stamps throughout the year.

Probably nothing unless I find a job pretty soon before my savings run out :-(

About £100 for the 3 days.

I saw a family coming of of the local Tesco last years each of them (4) were wheeling a trolley piled as high as it would go, god knows how much it must have cost !!!!!!

I go to my mums on xmas day, then the outlaws on boxing day - so sweet FA!

Might be a better idea if people put the number of people their spend covers - just to put it all in proportion?
Usually about the ton on food for 4 but got rest of family this year so probably double that. Booze often doubles up as gift so moved from one budget to another, distorting figures a bit.

I tend to get stuff in the weeks leading up to christmas like mince pies and frozen stuff for buffets etc, and we dont drink alcohol, so it is not that much more expensive than our usual shopping, and we dont really notice the rest since its approx £5 a week for a few weeks, and includes all the offers.

Helps that we are all vegetarian, so no turkey to buy, and T-Total, so no alcohol to buy

I think its easier shopping online, you can think twice about all of those impulse buys, which are more common around christmas

The only hard part is keeping my dad away from the shops - he will buy anything if they put it in christmas packaging!

well i normally feed up to 20 people on xmas day and the other year topped it all by feeding 32 people on boxing day! i normally spend about £600. without booze.
but........ this year i'm off to disneyland paris:w00t: it has cost me £2300. so far for a family of 5 = two real adults over 16 and 3 kids although i was charged an adult price for my 15 year old and my 12 year old so 4 adults 1 kid!
well worth it:thumbsup:
at least i can enjoy the day too this year!:santa::gift::stocking:
