How much for a puncture repair roughly?

Got a slow puncture and was just wondering how it is(roughly) for repairing a puncture?
I'm fed up with hunting for airlines, they all seem to be out of order at the same time lol
Its a bit low on tread so it might be more worth my while just replacing the tyre dependant on price

Try Kwik-Fit for an exact price. But it should normally be around a couple of pound to get a puncture repaired. If the tread is bare you would probably be better replacing the tyre though.

KwikFit charge around £16 I'm told - never go there myself.

you can get them in poundland etc - i think even tescos do them quite cheap as well

You could almost get a new tyre for that price.

better off with a new tyre if tread is quite worn. I just got two done for £72 including supply, balance, disposal, valves, fitting on a 175/14.

kwik fit wanted £142 and nationwide £160!!

seems to be good quality too and not a remould.

Yes, well that is what a neighbour told me. They used to do free punctures for women a few years ago - guess what started to happen and why they stopped!

I can just imagine all the men standing round the corner sending in their wives :-D

I got a puncture repaired free at KwikFit (I'm male) but this was about a year ago.
You can buy a cheap compressor to run from car cigarette socket at Wilkinsons.

dont go to kwik fit theyre a bunch of con artists, they might repair the puncture but then theyll tell you you need loads of other stuff doing. I went there for some new brake pads once, and they said i needed new calipers, so i took it to the AA garage and they told me there was nothing wrong with the calipers

its not bare but it will need replacing within the next 6 months or so

im a bit dubious about getting new tyres, when i took the other car for 4 new tyres at a cost of £360 hubby came home from working away and threw a wobbler as they had actually fitted the wheels the wrong way round, they are directional wheels and they were fitted back to front and that was a tyre specialists lol

And then the fitter telling said wives that it couldn't be repaired but we can do you a 'special price' on a new one and said husbands going doolally when the wife returns with a highly overpriced new tyre
