How bigs the cars engine, how fast are you intending to drive?

i'd guess about 6 or 7 quid.. erm... Strange question. Fill the car up at one of the places drive to your destination and stop at garage and fill up again.... However much that comes to is the cost.

Depends on car size/MPG, probably be 4-6 litres, £4.50-£6.50 ish.

Also take into account how cold it is. My car does over 50mpg but in this weather while its warming up it only does about 20mpg.

I go on 10p a mile as a very rough guess, but its prob more like 15p these days - and also depandant on model of car, driving conditions, speed etc etc. But ball park figure of £6-7ish

well i dont have a car so i cant test it,

i was wondering as we are considering an actor from hull to travel to lincoln on several occasions for filming, and we would be paying his petrol cost's, hence why i was asking for a rough idea,

hypothetically driving at a normal speed, and i think he has a old golf like this one..

Assuming your car averages 40mpg on the journey, it will cost £5.80. This is based on unleaded fuel costing 110.9p / litre.

However if you are paying someone's travelling expenses, you should also take into account tyre wear, oil, engine wear and tear etc Normal practise is to pay 40p / mile even though the above figures will only cost 12.61p / mile in fuel alone.

don't forget the Humber Bridge toll. £2.70

Do you have to pay him the exact figure? Give him a tenner and be done with it.. lol

The tax man allows you 40p per mile, he will probabally be expecting that plus the tollx2
