Look on the Autotrader site to get a better idea, after all most of us here wont know much about this.
#3
Not worth much unfortunately, Are the 78K miles genuine?

When dealing with a car 10 years +, The car is basically worth what you think judging on condition etc, I'd say around £500.....
#4
£600 max
#5
there are some on autotrader for £1000 or more...and mine looks in better shape..and yeah the 78000 is genuine....i got it when it was 68000 in april 06...for a 10 yr old car its in mint condition like...starts first time every time, no problems with clutch or gears...engine sounds and looks good...

£500/£600 is a little stingy I think if it's in as good condition as mentioned.

But £1000 is a good ASKING PRICE but expect to get £750-£900 imo.
#7
hmmm, 400 max

Well i part ex my p reg astra,( 2yrs ago) it was mint condition.2 owners from new. New mot tax etc.. Stunning car. They only offered me 400 quid! 2 yrs ago! Its kinda bottom book price. I haggled and got it up to 500 quid. if you sell it private you MAY get 750 at a push however i dont think your looking at more than 500.

Patience is the key, ensure lots of people see it, 1 of them will be the "numpty" to pay over the odds :)

why do you think that tho? i know vauxhall aint the best makers of car, and before this car i always said id keep away...but its fast, reliable, comfortable, clean and had no problems what so ever, full servising every year etc for £500 to £700 find me a better car in this condition

Like I said, after 10 years its basically name your own price depending on condition.

In some ways, The low mileage is worse, because it more than likely means its been used on lots of little short journeys, rather than being mostly motorway miles etc...

Perhaps I was a little stingy with the £500, because it does look in good condition, It does have the alloys/colour coded bumpers and the eleccy windows, so i'd say £600 is closer to the mark.

Its basically worth what someone will pay, without being their and doing history/hpi check, taking the car for a test drive and looking at overall condition etc its hard to name the price.

i paid £1000 last year...

Was that from a garage or a private seller?
#17
since ive used it ive done the miles going to and from brampton to carlistle which is 9 miles (60mph) one way. and carlisle to a town near newcastle 74miles one way...so not nesisarily meaning short trips. i live right in the centre so only use it for long journeys....

well anyone is welcome to come try it out haha...like i said its a mint car..excelent condition and drives as good as any...

i would rather keep it then sell below 700....

a garage...it was at £1350 but my boss knows them and got it for £1000
#19
hmm yeah Part Exchange is a bit rubbish I took mine down to be valued...

StreetKA 06 excellent condition at 7800 miles on the clock... they offered me £7000 not bad... but i've seen cars for private sale 4 times the amount of my mileage etc selling for 10k!

I have to agree with the £500-600 estimates. £900 is very optismistic but i hope you do get it
#26
oh and autotrader i well known for having over priced evaluations. Local ads are better to gauge the market.
#27
I'm in the know..

Looking at your photo and going on mileage and condition your looking at around £550 to £650 max for the car privately which incidentally is a good price...

If someone pays anymore than that then thank your lucky stars they know nothing about Motors..Good luck..

Glasses guide is the better one.

Having read all the comments about the car, I'd be inclined to keep it unless you are really going up a step with a new / replacement car around the £8-10k mark. It's running well, causing you no bother and not costing you anything in the way of repairs etc so stick with it :)

Just my thoughts, Dio

its clean,u wana try sell it to a boy racer, they love vauxhalls and most are now going for family cars like this

do you have any kids?who you could give it to?or maby sell to a family member?
because its a shame to see a clean car get run in to the ground off an idiot
and milage thats low for the age,my mams 53reg has done well over 100,000
#31
dont forget parkers.

#32
I reckon about £800 as it looks tidy for a P.
#33
thanks everyone...im actually wanting to get a fatboy vitara in black...just a change. i know i should probably keep it for the price ill get since its not costing me anything...and i might end up keeping it i dunno. i have no kids..

thanks money spinning i like ur price the most...lol
#34
Vitara!........ thats going down not up! :giggle:

(These Vauxhall hatchbacks are quite nice, When looked after the engines are good too!)
#35
That price was based on the fact that you are sticking 6 months tax on, personally I would stick it on for £825 and accept upwards of £750.
#36
Moneyspinning you can dream on mate...You obviously don't know anything about selling cars..:giggle:
