So Office 2007 comes with the disc? what about vista?

And because of the processor, you are probably better off selling the PC in parts.

you'll be lucky to get £100 for it. very old spec, ok for a beginer

I agree, but if you do want to keep it together then I would probably take it as part of my 'build 4 family pcs' project. I could swap a couple of parts around and need a 512MB chip for another machine, so would downgrade this to XP with 1GB.

Sorry, just thinking aloud here...

Yeah, tbh I would like to sell as a whole, as any money I get from this machine will be put against a new one.

Well if you want to talk about it, we can. And you'd obviously need to open a FS trade thread. Despite the age, if the machine runs quiet and cool, it could save me bother on one of the builds (although I wouldn't learn as much, which was part of the project idea )

The machine is very cool, it has a huge fan on the back and two fans at the very front, drawing air in and around the entire m/b. It is quiet, however since I installed the new Graphics card (about 2 and a bit yrs ago) it has gotten a bit louder.
It runs very nicley and can play mordern games quite well, however it really does need a new CPU.

Is it a genuine Vista and is the DVD supplied?

Is it a genuine Office 2007 (which version) and is the DVD supplied?

IF they are both genuine, and the DVDs are supplied, then they may be worth more than the hardware.

Depending on the version of Vista you could not sell it separatly from the hardware as it has already been installed (the OEM version of Vista canot be "sold on").

In fact if they are genuine then you could keep them and install them on any new PC build.

However, if they are dodgy copies then you should probably not be selling them installed on this computer as the person who buys it may find they get warnings from Microsoft about illegal software.

Ok, all sounds fine. I'm buying parts like crazy atm, so another cpu wouln't be a problem if I thought it was needed.
