How much is this laptop worth 2nd hand?

Before I even try and list this for sale can anyone give me an approximate value of what this would be worth, on a good day, second hand?

Compaq Armada E500 Laptop
800MHZ Processor
512MB RAM
40GB Hdd
PCMCIA Card
Carry Case
Good working power supply
Windows 2000 + COA

If it's only worth a little then it isn't worth my bother to post it out and I'll just leave it in the cupboard... so if possible can you just let me know how much you feel that it might bring on todays 2nd hand market either a forum like here, or Ebay, with the current prices of new laptops, cos I really don't have a clue what to even start asking for it, or if it's worth anything at all

Thanks.

Your best bet is to list it in your local papers classifieds as you'll more likely to get more for it there than on eBay or here.

Agreed.

I'd estimate a hundred quid including p&p on Ebay - if you really tarted up the advert, put in some good photos (assuming the laptop's in good nick), sell it with a case and have a feedback of over a hundredish. Also put in some effort and wipe the hard drive and do a fresh install of Windows 2000 (mention this in the listing).

In the local paper I reckon you could get up to a hundred and fifty quid. Probably by selling it to someone who doesn't have a huge knowledge of laptops and who wants a cheap deal. Plus you get probably won't have to pay postage.

What markwillis suggests is best I think, mostly as prepping a clean install, providing a case if you want and importantnly no need to spend £20+ on delivery should result in a decent price for it.
