Hi I have a Samsung R70 NP-R70T003/SUK
Processor - Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 2 GHz Dual-Core
RAM - 2 GB (installed) 4 GB (max) - DDR II SDRAM
Hard Drive - 160 GB
Operating System - Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Screen - 15.4 in TFT active matrix 1280 x 800
Optical Drive - DVD±RW (+R double layer) / DVD-RAM with Lightscribe
Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS - 128 MB
Bluetooth - No
Notebook Camera - Integrated - 1.3 Megapixel
It started playing up, sometimes i just got lines vertical down the screen then other times it would work ok,now i just get vertical lines down the screen.I am not sure but because i did not move the screen i believe this may be a graphic card issue rather than a screen issue(also been told may be a faulty ram stick). The numer 1 key is missing but the button works fine, and the plastic surround is cracked near the top at both sides (been done ages not sure how but pc has never been dropped as always on my table)other than what i have said it is in excellent cosmetic condition .I have been as honest as i can and believe that the graphic issue will cost more than if it was a screen issue, thats why i mentioned it.As i need my laptop i have bought a new one and taken the hard drive out as i have loads on there that i need and also for security.(no issues with this in a caddy).Has anyone ny ideas how much this would be worth SOLD AS FAULTY many thanks Mark
same as this one

i'd agree with the guy above, see if they will repair it first

if not i'd expect you might be better off splitting it and selling parts (ram like - 30, processor like 40, dvd rw like 15, etc)

Seeing as though the graphics card is faulty (ram wouldn't do that) and can't be replaced then like £50.

Due to the 8400 been faulty from the start (google it), they should fix it out of warrranty for free still though.

Now it's time to try and find the receipt,I have had it just over 2 years i got it May 08 or late April and paid cash so will have to find the receipt. Thanks for the information i had no idea there was a fault with the laptop it has been the most reliable one up to this happening

Not really good enough to start and take it to bits, could take ram out and dvd drive but that would be about it so would rather sell it as is

thanks

I've got an 8600 in my laptop, and I think I'm on my third GPU. To be fair on nVidia though, it might be someting to do with the 50% overclock I run on it, but you can never be sure, can you?
