Travel time - doesn't make much difference as I only live about 5 mins from work. But there's a little primary school at the end of our road and that's a total parking free-for-all when the kids are in and the parents are doing the school run. Talk about dumping your car anywhere - it's like as if white lines and yellow lines on roads/junctions etc don't count if you shut your eyes and pretend they aren't there !!!

Always amazes me how much less traffic is on the road when the kids are off school and I drive to work, but what really amazes me is I leave for work around 10am which you would think would make no difference being that by 10am most kids would have been in school and parents would be at home/work by then!

More people should walk their children to school.

No wonder there are so many obese children.

I agree with you there. There is a woman in my street that drives her boy to a school just a 5 min walk away. It was a treat to get a lift to school when i was a kid and that was only if my dad was leaving for work at the sametime and going that way.

Crazy isn't it, I know 2 women who ferry their kids a few minutes to child-minders or school.
