How much sleep do ur little ones have? x

I have a 5 year old son and a 3 year old daughter, they go to bed at 7pm and have been waking up, lately, at about 6.30am but sometimes as early as 6.00am. I've been making them go back to bed because they always used to wake up at 7.30 ish but I'm thinking 11 and a half hours probably is a fair amount of sleep. They are definately tired by half 6 and sometimes even earlier. Just curious at wot times or how long ur kids sleep??

So about the same then:? I think it's because he goes to bed earlier now that he's at school and I've not really taken that on board lol

My youngest two (3 &4) go to bed at seven and are usually asleep by 7.30. They wake up about 7.30am usually but during school holidays will sleep till 8.30am. :)

Mine are the same, even if they go to bed later they still get up at the same time. My 4 year old now will take himself downstairs and watch tv but the LO is still too young, luckily she generally wakes up a little later.

I have bought blackout curtains for all my kids rooms, they do help especially in summer.

Although my youngest two were awake at six this morning cos its the youngests birthday and they were both so excited they were up demanding presents with menace! :-D

Yep, The light mornings defo don't help, Same with light nights really, They don't believe it's bedtime and sometimes struggle to sleep.

Yh, although I didn't have too much of a problem last year with the light evenings but I'm pretty sure this year bed time would be a struggle!! lol

I've been very lucky generally with there sleeping. Both slept though the night early on (4/8 weeks) and go to sleep straight away. I think I've just been spoilt and now want that extra hour that I'm used to in bed  lol

Yes, the amount of packaging on all the toys, its averaging thirty minutes to unpack one toy, (husband at work) there are Doras staring at me from all over the room and a wonder pet sitting on top of the printer waiting to rescue anything in sight!! :-D
And no matter what I do Dora keeps falling off Pegasus whenever it walks anywhere?? Cant wait till one o'clock cos reinforcements arrive, (godmother arriving for lunch ) maybe some fresh eyes can see what I am doing wrong otherwise at least I can open the wine and by five when the dinner guests arrive I wont really care!:whistling:

Yeah, theres a magical age when they suddenly change to wanting to sleep all day long! My 14 year old and her friends would happily stay in bed till two oclock, and my ten year old is starting to stay in bed later too. Although usually when they get that old you actually want them to get up earlier!:-D

Yh true. When we just had my son, he went to bed at about 10pm, and it was fine at the time especially as we would get a long lay in. But when he turned 2 I decided he was getting that much older now he could easily pick up things on the tele which are just not suitable so we made it earlier, about 8pm. I never realised what I was missing in the evenings till then! lol They both now go at 7pm, mainly because he has school but also the quite evenings:-D

My husband used to work permanent late shift, and when my eldest two were young I realised that in order not to go insane it was absolutely essential to get them to bed early.

Well my 4yr old goes at 7pm. 6 and 8yr old 8pm and my 12yr old around 9:30 they are always up around 4-5am every day as my 6yr old has Autism and sleeps very badly, i remember even putting him to bed at midnight once for a week to see if he would sleep in but up at 3am he was every day without fail!

Tiring for sure it is!

This was, originally what made me put them to bed late. My husband used to work early and often be gone early too so in order for them to see their Dad more than just 2 days a week I kept him up. Hubbies job not quite so bad now:-D

Yeah i have 5 boys but my youngest who just turned 3 generally sleeps mega well sometimes if the 6yr old wakes him he climbs into bed with us and conks whilst we try and keep the others happy!
Its a nightmare having so many but can be fun!

My two are 3 and 6 and go to bed at 7pm - they usually wake up about 6.30 but it used to be more like 7.30! I did miss the extra hour but now they take themselves down to watch t.v or they play in their bedrooms.

Also it doesnt matter what time mine go to bed it's always 6.30 they get up!!

Yeah you just gonna have to live with it!:-D They do grow up and sometimes it feels like its too quick but at six in the morning or after three nights sitting up with a sick child, it all seems so far away. The good news is that just as they start to sleep in and you have the time to stay in bed, they bring home bigger problems that have you sitting up all night worrying instead.!

My last son was born two months prematurely. Even in the early days he wasn't a sleeper and would be awake all day long when most babies are taking naps. Now he's three he still doesn't sleep too well. He goes to bed anywhere between 7pm and 10pm and wakes up maybe 2 hrs later though I can get him to snooze a little longer by kicking my hubby out of bed and letting baby nap with me.
