I think it will be about £100 more than that if the 3DS was anything to do by...

personally I wouldn't give them a penny and I think they'll have a harder time squeezing 400 notes out of the fat housewives who discovered 2 wks after buying a wii that it won't help you lose all that baby weight and is now a dusty door stop in the corner.

Wouldn't buy one, bring on the PS Vita :D

Doesn't matter how much the console is. The controllers are gonna rape your wallet. (they did anyway if you wanted additional pads for the wii, +nunchuck, + wii motion each player)

Aren't they going to be tree fiddy or something? Too dear for me at that. 3ds not advanced enough for me to buy that either.

Think the new Sony jobbie will sell well mind. Esp if they put it out with a decent Cod game.

Wii U's launch price has been discussed by Nintendo at E3 2011.

President Satoru Iwata said that the console will "likely" cost more than ¥20,000 ($250 / £152), according to Nikkei (via Bloomberg).

However, previous Nintendo consoles have seen UK pricing above the direct currency conversion, suggesting a price point closer to £200 after tax.

The Nintendo 3DS launched at £229 in the UK, while in the US it was $250 (£152) and in Japan ¥25,000 (£191).

Announced during Nintendo's E3 2011 conference, the Wii U will be equipped with a touch-screen controller that can be played away from the television or in conjunction with games.

Visually, it will be comparable to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, complete with high definition support and a resolution of up to 1080p.

I will pay whatever the cost, and make a decent profit on it 24 hours later.

Playing mario kart with HD graphics would be cool but i'm unsure if I would pay a premium for it.
