A Worcestershire couple are paying more than £1,000 on cancer treatment to save the life of their one-legged chicken.
Elaine Denney said the chicken, named Eve, was "a pet just as much as any of my other animals" and therefore she wanted to do what she could to save it.
Eve had her left leg amputated 18 months ago as a result of cancer. Now a tumour has been removed from her right leg and she will have more treatment.
Mrs Denney said she believed the pet still had "quality of life".

Bet the korean people think the same as you about dog owners who pay loads to vets - instead of eating them...
people like their pets.

Wouldn't the money have been better spent by giving to a cancer charity?

Afaik the Koreans can no longer eat dogs. For why? Because the RSPCA (amongst others) interfered in their culture....

Love is blind, if this woman loves her chicken, why not?
i do think though that the vet is digging the arm in somewhat, £1,000 to cut of a chickens leg and give it chemo seems excessive to me.

I agree.
Would have been cheeper (pun & spelling intended) to remove its leg and make it a little skateboard to get around on.
I am an animal lover, but sometimes people like this totally astound me.
