Hi,

I've got a g2 touch (htc hero) and would like to back up my pictures and videos (already done contacts and sms), how do i do this?

I can't figure out where the pictures/videos are saved i.e. phone or sd card.

I received a message to upgrade but i selected later- where can i find this now?

Thanks

Can't you connect it to a PC via a USB lead?

For pics + vids from your memory card:
Plug G2 into computer/laptop usb port.
On the G2 slide the notification area down and select 'USB Connected' and choose 'Mount'.
A window will popup on your computer, select open folder to view files,
In there, there will be a folder called: 'DCIM'. Copy that to your desktop.

For pics + vids on actual phone memory:
Use HTC Sync,
Slide the notification area down and choose Sync with Windows.
HTC Sync will open on your computer and allow you to copy files over from there.

To get the update message back:
Go into settings, date and time settings and manually forward the date to august, wait a few minutes and this will prompt the update again. If not, restart the phone.
I'd connect to wifi first before doing this.

Also, if you're doing this update on T-Mobile, let me know how it goes please, mine always fails during installation and sticks a white triangle warning up - I have to pull the battery to reset.

Yeah, that update is just a preliminary update, preparing your phone for the 2.1 update coming mid-end July.
