2 threads in one day -very ambitious :giggle:

Why not make thread maybe "career advice" then list all you think you might want to do.

You do need to research all the things you think you want to do though.

For goodness sake!, Google!!!

Next you'll want to do pizza delivery and make your way up to being a chauffeur!
#3
do you need training to carry bags to rooms?

some colleges offer hospitality courses, that would cover a wider range of the industry
#4
pizza delivery is quite simple, all you need is a driving licence and brain, pizza hut are always short on drivers

Now thats just putting yourself down - we'll have less of that thankyou :)
Take a look at this site : Jobcentre Plus they reall are very good in dealing with training, job hunting, benefits etc.

Get down your local Jobcentre - speak to a career advisor. I don't know how old you are but think about doing a course at college,

I did think about going to college after i left my AS levels but i never founda course i liked and then the college year started
Its now august and the college year starts sep

Im finding no work and every day is a day thats not at work and ruins my already rubbish cv

If i can find the right course i might have a go - but i dont wanna be on a 3 year course - maybe a year one

Id prefer on the job training but god knows where im gunna find that

Hope you dont mind me asking but how old are you? I started in retail and don't intend on staying there til I'm old and grey. Maybe you could do the same? Take any position you can - its always easier to find a job once you already have one and most retail jobs have a LOT of overtime going.

Send me a pm if you want to chat some more - you sound near enough in the same predicument i was in

I went to college doing music, dropped out.worked in retail for a year.then sat doing nothing for 6 month.then i did a apprenticeship, now they have offered me a job there

Do you remember Huxley Pig? He was a pig (obv) with a suitcase full of clothes, and would be something different every day......
#20
No, but i remember mumrah off of Thundercats he could be a frail old man one minute and then like super evil bad guy, I think he lives 2 doors down from me.

Slight tangent.

Well think MumRah, but in pig form and you're almost there.

DanDoc hotel porters work very long & unsociable hours, get a lot of stick off customers and don't get paid very much. Can't you get an apprenticeship or something that'll help you progress?

Shop work? I've worked in retail for 4.5 years within the same company. Work hard, be nice, smile and help out as much as you can and with the right company you will get noticed for that.

I completed a level 2 NVQ in customer service with them last year.
