What are you trying to burn to a cd?

you would need an iso to boot from a cd if its an image file you want to boot.

To a DVD as the bin file is 2gb something

Can i convert them to an ISO then?
#3
you can. Use mounting software then create an iso from that mounted drive, or burn the bin/cue image to disk then create iso from it
#4
am just trying magiciso as it will apparently convert bin to ISO, nothing's ever easy is it!!

Is the image itself bootable?
You can't just burn something and tick a box to make it bootable unless you have the bootable files.

Yes, well it should be

Windows 7? :whistling:

Although, if u already burned the bin/cue file then that should have been sufficient, sounds to me like the disc isn't bootable.

With nero you burn the .cue file. This is like the container file for the .bin. The .cue file is main file you need to burn, the .bin just holds the information which will be burnt to the disc.

If you can try nero

I can't possibly comment babbabooey, although on a separate note did you know all of the RC1 versions of Windows7 will expire in 12 days..........

Is there a box in imgburn i haven't ticked to make it bootable then? If i explore the DVD i can see files i think should be there

lol, you're secret is safe with me.
I've been using the full MSDN version since Aug, no RC1 in my house :-D

And no, if you have the bin/cue files then you just burn that, and it will make it bootable if the files are contained in the bin. All the cue file does is points to the bin file and tells it where the layer break is (if applicable).

Just download another version that's iso

I read that daemon tools can boot from a .bin with a .cue file, but I dont have any files to try it with.
