Yo,

I set up Google Apps for a domain I need, and thus need to point the MX records to that domain for the email to work. The problem arises in that i also have custom nameserver details in there for the hosting (Thanks Big G :D), and can't have both at once. It doesn't work if i try shoving the details into subdomains.

I am having real troubles trying to find a workaround, I tried creating a subdomain of 'www' and putting the nameserver details in that, but alas it did not work. My domain is with 1&1 BTW.

Would I be able to have custom MX & NS on one domain with another host? If yes, then I will switch.

Or is it a case of one or the other?

Thanks.
