Actually its recommended to use the Norton Removal tool since bits are left over otherwise.

You'll also need to run Nortons removal tool - had it on one of our PC's & couldn't install AVG after normal uninstall as it still had bits left on system.

All you need is this

Uninstall using norton removal tool. Once you do that you dont need to use ad/remove programs

This is why I never install/use garbage such as Mcafee and Norton.
