Hello,

Does anyone have any tips on 'How to Remove Spray Paint From a Brick Wall'

Looking at the wall is an eyesore and therefore want to do something about it.

Sadly it has to be cheap as possible because the council have better things to do :whistling:

Thanks,

Soapy water and an old fashioned scrubbing brush and a LOT of elbow grease.

I would suggest a high pressure water jet. Maybe a power washer set on maximum. I used to work for a company that made the ones dynorod use and had to do a training course on them many years ago but part of that course was removing paint off a wall

Sad thing is that once you remove it, it will be back again within days no doubt.

Only permanent solution - knock the wall down.

I've found nail polish remove can help get it off your hands, maybe it can help with walls too...

or you can buy anti-grafiti paint - bit pricey though......

This stuff is clear paint and any grafiti should just wash off....

I think some of the Ronseals does what it says on the tin brick sealant type stuff might also work but you'd need to check that...

Why don't you get some cheap paint and cover over the whole wall and then when they come back re touch it up, should be fun to see who bottles it first :giggle:

I've been doing graffiti art for a while now. Some people are very talented.

Graffiti art is about the concept and the placement. It's as much an art form as anything else. Personally though, I would never spray anybodies personal property. For the reason that I wouldn't like it to happen to me.

I don't know what was on the wall, but I'm guessing it was more vandalism, than art. Writing "jAy woZ erE wIv hiLlsbOro mAsif!" on someones wall is just moronic.

Sadly this was not a 'Picasso' but an act of vandalism!

The anti-grafiti paint is far too expensive for me to afford but do like it's ability to remove it all.

I will try the council once more otherwise some tiresome scrubbing is on the cards :(

Although I wouldn't condone violence, Would be nice to hang the little sods by the danglys, As much as graffiti can be an art, There is a right place for it.
