Howdy People

Today i got an upgrade on my 3 contracts on VF, for £35 PM, 700 min, unlimited Internet, 250 text, Free VF to VF calls, 75 International Minutes.. 2 HTC Desire HD's and 1 HTC Desire Z.

Personally i disagree with posting upgrade deals but it seems to be a Trend on Hotukdeals nowadays so i thought i should share it with you guys. it might help someone

you can call 191 select Option 3 then select option 2..

I hope its not a 18 or much dreaded 24 months. Voda reps have got a good reputation to con the customers with their words. More often than not the deal offered to you and accepted can never be found on their records nowhere.
I hope you get what you been promised. I suggest you ring back and ask them to confirm what is your new deal listen it from their words to confirm.

lol its 12...read the post again...hot for the short contract length, and the Z is an awesome handset :D
#3
it is 100 percent 12 months contract and i got the call recorded.. so not much to worry
#4
what do u say charliebravo about desire Z.. i am thinking for changing it to HD too ..
#5
good deal! I assume this is upgrade only and no chance in getting this as a new contract:(
#6
good offer, cant wait for feb to do the same offer, ather get £30 a month, but this will do any how and then after 12 months, go back to a Sim upgrade and pay the ysyal £8p/m for my 900 min
#7
To get any 12m contract now is a miracle.... but £35 a month and a top phone is a bargain.
#8
yeh the phone itself is 400 plus and the total contract is 35x12= 420 per phone with all those minutes..
#9
35x 12 months = £420 (then downgrade to £10 a month for the next 12 months)
10x 12 months = £120
Total for 2 years = £540
or the usual deals are
£25 x 24 months = £600

This makes this deal better if you get the same allowance on it.

£17.50 a month htc desire hd
600 mins, unlimited texts, net and free landline calls, with vodafone upgrade
#14
@roadie is it 12 months?
#15
UNFORtunately its not, its on a 24 month so £17.50 * 24= £420, and i sold the phone on ebay for £406 and bought an iphone 4

humadoon my friend I must say usually I have a quick read of the posts and then comment.

This time I just seen the deal and went mad!

@roadie's finding is indeed wise and needs some 3d rep n heat or something like that!

my bro have htc hd7 and the battery only last half day.
#22
Good deal, the DHD are going for £400 on fleebay and if you can live with that contract then happy days you are quids in!
#23
damn it - just bought a second hand desire and a t-mob contract because i didnt want to be on a long contract. could sell the phone after 12m for decent amount etc.

not seen anything even half decent for 12m

hot.
#24
hd is banger though , too large and big phone to handle
#25
but the deal is too good , excellent
#26
Just rang up to see if I can do this on a new contract but the shortest they can do is 18 months and the deals are what you would get on their website.

The guy can't physically do it but did offer an outbound call centre to call me back as he said they have more flexibility.
#27
i just tried this and they told me they havent done 12 month contracts since 2007

i cant stand the sales people at vodafone, they talk so much bullcrap

would love to get on this deal
#28
nice deal
#29
It's a 'retentions' deal so only suitable for existing customer coming to the end of their contract (that's me then). The OP may have god such a great deal as they are upgrading 3 phones at the same time, if you only have one you may not be so lucky.

please stop voting this deal up because it doesnt exist

ive tried three times now and each time they have acted as if i am delusional and they would never offer such a good deal

i have just come out of a 12 month £40 a month contract which is a 300 min unltd text 500mb internet with hd2 contract which ended yesterday

now they are saying they want 30 days notice which allows them to screw me out of another £40 even though i dont really use all my minutes or bandwidth

vodafone is such a scummy company, i hate them
#31
I hate vodaphone, this dont dont exist, may be its a 3rd party deal. lets see some proof this exist.
#32
Pretty good deal!
#33
vodafone are horrific, they join ryanair, easyjet, orange and sainsburys entertainment on my 'list of comapinies I will never deal with again'
#34
i dont know much about this deal but i do have the HTC Desire HD and wow, its amazing. Im so glad i got it :)
#35
Good phone but not the best tariff for £35 i'd expect more I guess they'll want to be making some extra money out of you off the texts that you'll probably need after a couple of weeks ;)
#36
can you post the recording of the call?

edit your personal details out and convert to mp3 then upload?

"Upgrade"
The single biggest con in the seedy world of mobile phones.

You did not get an upgrade. You just agreed to pay £35/month for a year and they gave you a phone.

An upgrade is when you get an improved item or service at no extra cost, for example, being given a business class seat because you're a regular economy flier. A better hotel room for similar reasons...

These mobile companies want you to feel valued, special, cared for. Using the word 'upgrade' is one of the ways they do it.
#38
now they are saying they want 30 days notice

To be fair, that's fairly standard.

i received my phones today by dpd.. im loving it..though feel bad about the desire Z i should have gone for Samsung galaxy.. i was offered iphone 4 on 18 month contract for 40 quid but don't want 18 months contract..

I totally agree with the friends who got the reply from VF about no more 12 month contracts..i had the same but i got lucky i guess.

and to the friend who has a doubt im sorry i can't do anything to make u believe.

DO I NEED TO CHARGE THE PHONE FULLY BEFORE FIRST USE?
