Morning!

I'm looking to get a new phone contract, and like the idea of an HTC Desire.

Can ayone give me any reasons not to go for this phone, or another phone to get? Cant really afford the iPhone, and think

I can get the desire for £25 a month for 300 mins + unlimited texts. Can anyone beat that offer?

Cheers guys!

It's a really good phone!. Has loads of apps from android marketplace. ONly downside is battery life, I have to charge mine everyday on medium to light use.

The only other reason would be the Desire HD due out very soon.

Prices of desires could drop.

I can get 3 days out of mine with just calls, txts and internet browsing so don't let the battery life put you off

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of getting this phone then? Obviously you would want it because of the things it can do other than make calls, text etc.. What a bog standard £20 pay as you go phone will do.

Just a thought...

There IS no reason not to get one. Excellent phone.

So now you've just gotta find the best deal!

PS, the Samsung Galaxy S is getting rave reviews atm. I belive the only downer being cited is the lack a a flash for camera. I have a Desire now but if I was looking I'd just take whichever was the best deal.

I said I can get 3 days, if need be the battery will last that long quite easily. usually I plug it in every night because I don't know if I'll be using it more the next day, the shortest time the battery has lasted me is about 15 hours, the longest over 3 days

The only TWO downsides are the battery life & the servere lack of phone memory, even with android 2.2 installed, I've got no room left for apps, thats after moving all of the ones I can to my memory card, 512MB is just not enough, when you include the OS, phone book contacts etc....
