HTC Desire Screen Replacement

Right so long story cut short, my beloved Desire has decided to stop working after being dropped from a small height by a friend, the glass has cracked, the LCD is bleeding, while the digitiser seems to work fine still. Is there anywhere recommended that will replace it for me? Or any decent site selling OEM parts?
Cheers

Ya screwed then unfortunately mate :(

Apart from calling HTC and paying them to replace it... From the looks online, nobody selling the screens yet.. Be quite a while before any reliable screen replacement services are about, also a while before the screen even start being sold..

Very dishonest people will often sign up for phone insurance.. Wait a month.. Then claim... So they can get there broken phone fixed.. Obviously this is wrong and i wouldnt reccomend it to anyone.

Sure ya bank account doesn't come with phone insurance?

Argh, gutted, any idea how much HTC will charge? New to HTC, been a loyal iPhone and Sony Ericsson fanboy for a while so no clue what kind of services they perform. Was thinking about blaming it on overheating, as I saw a post about a Nexus One overheating and then actually cracking the glass and discolouring the LCD similarly to how mine is, but that's just as dishonest as scamming an insurance company. Although it did get horribly hot sometimes..

I wouldn't lie to HTC - they aren't stupid and will spot if ya lieing pretty quickly..

Give HTC a ring and ask them, see what they say bud.

My girlfriend sent off her HTC hero to be fixed and it had 8 passes between engineers and QA. It was refused by QA 7 times before eventually they gave it the all clear! It took them over 4 weeks in total.

So basically it seems that although their engineers are trained chimps, the QA team won't let stuff go out until it is really fixed lol
