No its Windows 6.5. Not very good. Desire easily wins it for me, the HD2 is quite big as well.

Ive used the hd2, and thought it was stunning looking phone. The winmo OS didn't seem too bad even though it was all but brief my usage.

The desire doesn't look as good but android does seem to be better

HTC did an amazing job of hiding the awfully outdated WM6.5 under its veneer of HTC Sense but, at the end of the day, when you get past the Sense UI it is outdated and disgusting menus etc.

Get the Desire, it truly is amazing, a true iPhone killer in every (HTC) Sense of the word! (YES, i WENT THERE):whistling::whistling:

I'm due an upgrade in November and really fancy the Desire but there was a thread on earlier that I can't find now, that said the Desire is not a touch screen??!! Did I read that right and is it a proper touch screen like the iphone?

There is a group of folk working on Android for the HD2, although if you want Android it would probably be smarter to go with the Desire. Those with the HD2 though who want Android might be better off holding out for the ROM release rather than buying a new phone.

No, especially since windows are bringing out Windows Phone 7 which won't be officially ported to the HD2, WinMo 6.5 will be left to die in a puddle next to the side in the road in a year or two, and people will be building apps for WinPho 7 and will leave WinMo 6.5.

Just hope to GOD that these guys come up with something for you soon

only costing me £25 tho 18 months for what looks like a great phone with good browser.A new phone (when it comes out) with Win7 mobile will cost considerably more i like the idea of android but i know i will be forever tweaking and installing things looking through forums did it with my Meizu M8 and wastes alot of time and my Wife would not be happy:-D

Funny thread.. Op asks about the HD2 vs desire everyone comes on and says the desire is the better phone and the HD2 is using a poor operating system, can not be upgraded to version 7, and is old... So the op goes for the HD2?? lol.. Reminds me of my daughter...
